Some people actually want to persuade others to their point of view, and others just want to fan flames ever higher in the hopes that it increases book sales.

One would say this is a waste of talent, but whatever talent Coulter had is long gone. She has become a caricature of herself. The National Review gets credit for seeing this coming, and dropping her early.
