William Ravenel versus Jeremiah Wright?
There is a new McCain ad touting the people who “inspired” Jonh McCain.
Look folks, all these ads are suspect to some degree or another. That said, listen to the angry, retributive subtext of Barack Obama’s campaign. Look at his ‘heros.’ Then look at McCain’s.

Here’s another one of McCain’s heroes, John Hagee: “I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God, and they were recipients of the judgment of God for that.” That’s pretty inspiring, and with none of that “angry, retributive subtext.”

Has John McCain gone to Hagee’s church for 20 years?
I would have to say that I disagree vehemently with Hagee’s theology.
Why single out New Orleans? The entire planet is “offensive to God” (according to standard Christian theology).
I believe part of our penance is that we are visited with Hagees and Wrights.
That said, I’ll stick with my prediction that an Obama Administration will be one of anger and retribution.
It comes with the filthy identity politics of the far left.
If you want to make this a battle only about which pastor is the biggest nutjob, I think McCain wins that battle with the majority of voters.
